Gold Christmas Tree 2013
Today I’m showing you our third and final Christmas tree this year! If you’ve missed them, here are links to our kid’s tree and our kitchen tree.
This tree is “my” tree. My birthday is the first week of December, and in college I started celebrating with a tree decorating party. I started a gold themed tree then, and when we moved to having a designated kid’s tree years ago I brought back my gold tree.
This tree has all gold themed ornaments. From ones from my grandpop’s collection to a few from those college birthday parties back in the day. Here are some of my newest additions. I love these mercury glass ones (there are actually two!) I picked up two years ago at 90% off after Christmas at Target.
This was actually a Walmart find this year for about $3.50. I enjoy the two tones, and the fact that it isn’t breakable. It has dimension that some of the others don’t have.
And talking about dimension, this is another new addition. It clips to the the branch, letting it sit out on it’s own. I enjoy the coarse glitter and the spikes. It almost makes me think of sea urchins.
This is the tallest of the three trees at seven feet.
It sits in the corner of our living room and compliments the gold and blue mantle across the room.
So there you have it, our Christmas 2013 décor!
